Upaya Guru PAI Dalam Menanamkan Sikap Respect Melalui Metode Diskusi Di Kelas IV SD Negeri

This study aims to describe the application of the discussion method by Islamic Education teachers in fostering a respectful attitude among students at SD Negeri Kemiri. It also identifies the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the discussion method is effectively applied in Islamic Education classes to develop respect among students, a vital aspect of character education. The teacher serves as both a facilitator and role model, guiding students in understanding and practicing respect in various contexts. However, factors such as class size, student diversity, and limited time pose challenges to achieving optimal outcomes. The study concludes that despite these challenges, the discussion method remains valuable for enhancing students' respect when applied with careful planning and reflection.
